Donations to Help Those Who Help Others
C entraState recognizes the essential role other community organizations play in promoting the well-being of our friends and neighbors. Each year, through the CentraState Healthcare Foundation, we provide financial support to numerous area health, service and charitable groups—more than $90,000 in 2005 and $425,000 over the past five years. The donations we make are reviewed by staff and approved by the Foundation’s board of trustees. Most of these funds come from interest earned on contributions received and sources other than direct donations from patients or their families.

Created in the 1980s to address an increasing need for senior activities and health programs, SeniorsFirst marked its 10,000th member milestone in 2004. SeniorsFirst offers conferences, lectures, health fairs and screenings, integrative therapies, driving classes and a variety of social activities. Membership now stands at more than 12,000. The cost of SeniorsFirst programs and services was more than $491,000 over the past five years.
We also provide meeting space at no cost to a variety of civic, support and non-profit organizations, and facilitate many of the support groups at no charge.
